Choose a pose and apply it to your selected figure, without launching a separate converter. We are developing a system that identifies the pose’s source generation and your selected figure, then adapts supported bone transforms as the pose is applied.
The planned workflow
The planned scope covers Genesis 3, Genesis 8/8.1 and Genesis 9, with conversion in both directions. The aim is to make more of your existing pose library useful while keeping you in the same creative workflow.
- Select a figure in DAZ Studio.
- Choose a pose in Trove Studio.
- Let the application identify the source and target generations and adapt supported transforms.
- Review the result and adjust the scene where necessary.
Your original pose preset should remain unchanged. Adaptation is intended to affect the selected figure and produce an undoable result. Automatic pose conversion is already being tested in the full version of Trove Studio.
What still needs testing
Different generations have different skeletons and body proportions. Hand and foot contact, props and interactions between figures may still need adjustments.
The first version focuses exclusively on body poses. Facial expressions saved inside a body-pose preset are skipped, so the target figure’s expression stays unchanged. We plan to return to expression conversion in a later update.
Partial poses must keep their intended scope. Support for pose controls, hierarchical poses, animation and other complex preset types will be defined through testing. We are not promising that every preset will work in the first release.
When will it be available?
This feature is in testing and is not yet available in the public release. It will only enter a public version if it passes tests without disrupting existing functionality, reliability or performance. Its scope may change, and it may be postponed or left out if the results are not satisfactory.
The goal: spend less time adapting tools and more time creating scenes.
